Suicide Prevention: It starts with communication

JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, Washington, D.C. — Several years after attempting to take his own life, Kirt Davis has made it his mission to reach out to others and let them know that their lives matter. Suicide, its causes, awareness regarding it and prevention of it, are all observed and discussed during National Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month every September.

JBAB commits to restoring native mussels to Anacostia, Potomac Rivers

JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, Washington D.C. — Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling’s 11th Civil Engineer Squadron conservation team has partnered with the Anacostia Watershed Society to restore the District’s native freshwater mussel populations in the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers.

Air Force Fall Tattoo: Celebrating 75 years of air power

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thousands of people gathered to witness performances by some of the military’s most elite units during the celebratory Air Force 75th Anniversary Tattoo at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., Sept. 15, 2022. The Tattoo featured performances by The United States Air Force Band, the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard and guest performer, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Andy Grammer. Attendees also had the opportunity to witness first-hand the Air Force’s air superiority during a flyover by U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

JBAB hosts 75th Anniversary Air Force Ball
