Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, LEARN D.C. celebrate on-base charter school opening
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling - Representatives from Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, the D.C. and Ward 8 communities, the LEARN Charter School Network, and LEARN D.C. attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the on-base charter school at JBAB Aug. 26, 2021. This is the first charter school at JBAB. JBAB partnered with LEARN D.C. to bring a rigorous academic program to children from military and civilian families in D.C. The school will begin with classes for pre-K through first grade and add a grade each year up to eighth grade. A maximum of 550 students will be enrolled in the school.
