JBAB is an installation with a rich history, and you are joining a diversified and talented team that adds to that legacy every day. JBAB is home to the United States Air Force’s 11th Wing, bearing the name “The Chief’s Own.” The mission of the 11th Wing is to “Deliver worldwide, premier ceremonial honors, mission support, and contingency operations from our Nation’s Capital.” We serve as host unit for joint base installation support servicing over 70 mission partners and 18,000 personnel from all 6 services and multiple government agencies, which are critical to our nation’s success. Additionally, the 11th Wing is committed to enhancing the quality of life for thousands of active and retired military personnel and dependents across the National Capital Region, including more than 4,000 residents living on JBAB.
