Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, LEARN D.C. celebrate on-base charter school opening
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling - Parents, children and teachers from LEARN DC attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the LEARN D.C. charter school at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Aug. 26, 2021. U.S. Air Force Col. Mike Zuhlsdorf, JBAB and 11th Wing commander, and Greg White, LEARN Charter School Network president and CEO, spoke on the importance the school will have on the JBAB and local civilian community. Fifty percent of student seats are reserved for children from the D.C. civilian community, and the other 50 percent are reserved for children of active-duty service members at JBAB. The first day of classes for the LEARN D.C. charter school is scheduled Aug. 30.
