Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, DC - Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Honorary Commanders attend a funeral demonstration simulated by U.S. Air Force Honor Guard pallbearers at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Washington, D.C., Sept. 14, 2021. The body bearers flight participates in U.S. Air Force, joint service, and state funerals by carrying the remains of deceased service members, their family members, and senior or national leaders to their final resting places at Arlington National Cemetery. The Honorary Commander’s program allows JBAB to establish and maintain personal contact with local civic leaders in order to increase public awareness of the missions, policies, and programs of JBAB and the United States Air Force. The program also aims to build mutually beneficial relationships between military installations and local communities. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Corey Hook)
