Civil engineers from the 11th and 316th Civil Engineer Squadrons came together to form a team that will represent Air Force District of Washington at Readiness Challenge IX, a competition aimed to test Air Force Civil Engineers’ contingency capabilities. The MAAS is a rapidly deployed system used to stop aircraft on shorter runways or in contingency situations, and installing the system is one of the many potential competition events at the Readiness Challenge.
