JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, D.C. –
As part of the 11th Civil Engineer Squadron’s efforts to provide improved heating and cooling capability across the base, Washington Gas, with support from contractor Miller Pipeline, will be installing gas lines in the Historic Bolling District of JBAB starting next Monday, March 29th. As a part of this effort, Brookley Avenue will be reduced to single lane traffic in the vicinity of Building 1 starting on March 29th. There will be cones and appropriate traffic control in place to ensure contractor and vehicle operator safety.
On April 5th, the contractor will begin installing lines in the vicinity of Building 2, which will affect parking in Building 1307. Operations may also affect areas around Buildings 13, 4 and 38 – dates and times TBD. Construction is planned for completion on or about June 22nd.
We ask that all tenants and occupants of JBAB follow all posted signs and stay alert for changes to traffic flow due to construction in progress. Thank you for your patience as we continue our efforts to provide improved services to our tenants.
