JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, Washington, D.C. –
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling recently conducted an Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) exercise to strengthen installation preparedness and ensure personnel are ready to support Airmen, civilians, and families during hurricane season and other emergencies. The exercise reinforced the importance of personal and family preparedness, including maintaining a 72-hour emergency supply kit, understanding Hurricane Condition (HURCON) levels, and complying with Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (AFPAAS) reporting requirements following an evacuation. By emphasizing proactive planning and accountability, the exercise helped ensure JBAB remains prepared to respond effectively while maintaining mission readiness during severe weather events.
