JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, Washington, D.C. – On March 21 and 22, 2026, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling hosted the Battle of the Bases flag football tournament in partnership with the Washington Commanders, bringing together service members and federal government employees from across the National Capital Region for a weekend focused on competition, fitness and camaraderie.

The tournament featured eight teams representing their military installations from across the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia region.

After a competitive weekend of flag football, Joint Base Andrews secured the Battle of the Bases flag football championship trophy.
