Col. Nicholas C. Jameson is the Commander, 11th Operations Group, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. He is responsible for The United States Air Force Chaplain Corps at Arlington National Cemetery, The United States Air Force Band and the U.S. States Air Force Honor Guard as they provide premiere ceremonial and funeral support across the National Capital Region and for senior U.S. and international leaders. He commands 519 chaplains, musicians, ceremonial guardsmen and staff in performing over 3,100 missions each year. Additionally, he is responsible for an annual $5.4 million operating budget and $47 million in facilities and equipment.
Col. Jameson earned his commission upon graduation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2000. His previous assignments include duties to protect the Department of Defense’s critical programs and technologies from theft; assess Joint Staff and Air Force enterprise networks; execute, satellite tracking, telemetry, and command operations; deliver tactical, installation, enterprise, and theater communications; and serve as a ceremonial guardsman and Operations Officer for the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
Col. Jameson has led in a variety of communications, space, cyber operations, and staff officer positions ranging from the detachment level to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He has deployed in support of operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Inherent Resolve.
