JBAB honors POW/MIA
September 19, 2025 — The 11th Wing hosted a POW/MIA remembrance ceremony at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C., Sept. 19, 2025. POW/MIA is observed on the third Friday of September to honor and remember prisoners of war and those missing in action in the line of duty. According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, less than 81,000 Americans remain missing from WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Cold War, Gulf Wars and other conflicts... MORE

USAF Band, Honor Guard honor 85th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain
September 19, 2025 — The U.S. Air Force Band performs the national anthem during an 85th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain ceremony at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Va., Sep. 15, 2025. Members of the Royal Air Force and USAF held an unveiling of a plaque dedicated to the Battle of Britain which lasted from July 10 to Oct. 31, 1940, during World War II.
